Deciding not to go now, the line up does not justify the cost at all.

Hmmm, interesting. She was parked in front of the Black Sheds yesterday, so I wonder what has happened for her to be removed from the schedule.

Although saying that, the schedule's still in alphabetical order on the website so perhaps she's just been overlooked/deleted accidentally when they removed the F35 from the list (here's hoping).

The canberra was never on the list of flying participants on the official site, even after it was confirmed on their official facebook page that it had validated and was now in the flying display for the public days, so I'm guessing they have just forgotten to add it on their official list.

*Edit I note that it has now just been added on the official list on their website

Right hand, left hand, obviously at Farnborough.

Nice to see she's there (usual caveats aside), panic over.

Haven't encountered any major problems the last two days. Parking in Queens Parade there were plenty of buses running to the airfield. Queued for about 20 mins Tuesday and was in at 09:35 but no security checks as I was just waived straight through because the queues were getting too long. It didn't appear as busy today - queued for about 10 mins, through security and in at 9:30.

Not sure what it's going to be like for those going at the weekend though!

I've decided to brave the 30oC forecast for Friday and accept the fact that the F-35 has disappointed again!

From what I'm hearing, car park/gate I is a good choice, probably no problems taking a camera bag, take some own drinks and go for cheeseburgers at a fiver a pop ......... oh and plenty of sunscreen and a hat!

Anything else I should consider?

Thank you

If you want to photograph the static, take either a cherrypicker or an 8mm lens.

You can trade off the 2mm with waving it in the air, as you're so adept at, Brian ;)

It's taken four days to finally get the right place markers for the F-35 and F-15 too

I have been in on the last two days using the I gate carpark and it has been a breeze. Although I only live around the corner its has taken me 15min each time between leaving home and being inside the show ground.
Yes it is not a great show for photographing the static, luckily I got most of it as it arrived. There was some truly exotic aircraft in there though which were the highlights of the show. Chinese Avanti, Ethopian DHC8, American eagle CRJ, The two SSJ's and the Seychelles Twin Otter really stand out. Even the Finmeccia stand seemed friendlier this year with no areas shut off. Textron area however was a nightmare, no chance of a photo of the scorpion.
The flying was a mixture of excitement and dros. Dross was UAV, Parajet, Starduster, and red devils. The rest however was top notch, the Airbuses coordination was amazing as all 3 departed after the preceding aircraft had landed and was pushed back into the static . Typhoon was excellent and very low, F-18 was the normal display and P-8 and 787 were really thrown about. IMHO they really need to get the likes of Bombardier and Embraer to fly some of their aircraft too.
I have been to every show since 78 and IMHO this was the best lineup since the Russian fighters stopped coming. What I want from Farnborough is exotic aircraft and certainly got that.

See the "Parking and busses" thread for I Gate directions. Parking is free (or, rather, included in the ticket price!)
