Twin Engined GB 1/72 Revell Boston V.

Hi all,
A late start on what should have been these builds but i will look for something else to build in place of the Mitchell. Its not like im short of a kit or 2!

Here is Revells boxing of the MPM Boston V. Bought it for my RAF collection after seeing a few negative things said about the nose glazing but some of the cracking finished kits! So here are the box n sprues.

This one has very nearly landed on the shelf of doom a couple of times! Joining the fuselage together was no problem, but then i fitted the wings! Left with a step that i might have to leave as its a bit beyond my skills to sort. I then dropped it nose first and lost a bit of the bomb aimers position. Sorted that with a snip and a file then tackled the nose glazing! Its ended up squint with a step that i will have to mull over for the next week.

Can't tell from that image Geoff that you are having problems but you have repaired the front end pretty good. Well done.

hmm two people that have had problems with this kit. That's a hint for me to stay away. All in all though it looks good from the shots you have posted.

Fumbles, as long as you look at it as a short run kit, then bodily, its one of the better ones ive built until it comes to fitting the glazing. Im sure if you built this one, it would certainly turn out better because you know where we had issues.

Apart from that, this one now looks like a (wonky nosed)Boston and i should have have an update this evening.

Hello again,
This is really fighting me all the way. I got the main colours painted, stayed away from it for a week or 2 then jumped back in last week. I now have it on its legs and should be not too far from finishing.



It could be better but i have a cunning plan to cover some evils with the nose.

Hello again,
Ive persevered with this one and it still fought me! Bad move of leaving the ballast to last and ended up with some lead replacing the cockpit seat! Ive also lost a gear door and the tailcone! So here is BZ631/P "Jacqueline Anne" of 13 sqn.
