Well, looks like I might be seeing a lot more of it flying past my window in the future given I'm right next to the GA corridor route from WW to the south coast5944 wrote: ↑Tue 26 Apr 2022, 10:30 amIt's now owned by Hurricane Heritage and based at WW, though is often flying from Duxford.GeeRam wrote: ↑Tue 26 Apr 2022, 9:08 amHad lovely sight and sound of Hurricane 2-seater 'Pegs' fly past my house yesterday midday/early afternoon, and when I checked on FR24/ADS-B it was showing up as not a Hurricane with the G-reg....was coming up as a microlight or something, so data wrong, but interestingly, it took-off from White Waltham and headed south down to the coast and did a few circles and loops off Selsey Bill, and then headed back to White Waltham, and flew back past me again, only closer on the return leg.
Looked like one of the standard pax sightseeing flights, but was surprised to see it operating from White Waltham instead of its home at Biggin.

The T-50's are being delivered 3 at a time aboard Asiana 747's into Stansted, 6 have arrived so far and have been transported by road to Boscombe Down. 9 trucks are required to transport 3 aircraft, the T-50's are being assembled and at least one of them has made a test flight a couple of days ago.IP1960 wrote: ↑Sun 19 Jun 2022, 4:20 pmThe Eagles came into Stansted last week - Escort Vehicle Group posted up embargoed photos today on Twitter for those who use it. 9 truck convoy.Big Eric wrote: ↑Tue 07 Jun 2022, 7:53 amDelivering support equipment but not the T-50s.Black Projects wrote: ↑Tue 07 Jun 2022, 4:38 am3 X Korean AF C-130"s are due into RAF Boscombe Down from 1820 Tonight

Here you go!
Re: The FR24/PlanePlotter Thread
Hi Howard and thanks for that, that post has gone viral all over spotting forums & groups in the last few days, but that convoy was just for 3 aircraft - is it just me, or am I being my usual cynical self, but does anyone actually believe that the pilots of the aircraft were carried in the escort vehicles? I smell poo............

Re: The FR24/PlanePlotter Thread
I would guess that they might have carried technicians or ground crew with the loads; security etc.
Re: The FR24/PlanePlotter Thread
Yes I agree, certainly not pilots as the 2nd post in the link says :- 'Each Escort Vehicle carried the Pilot for his Aircraft'!!NAM Updater wrote: ↑Sun 19 Jun 2022, 6:14 pmI would guess that they might have carried technicians or ground crew with the loads; security etc.
Re: The FR24/PlanePlotter Thread
Isn't it crazy how big even a "small" fast jet is, so easy to forget how big they are in comparison to a ww2 warbird or a light aircraft.

Re: The FR24/PlanePlotter Thread
Earlier this morning an aircraft registration N922XM was heading North over the North Norfolk coast in company with (at least) one F-15E.
It was showing up on both ADSB and Flightradar24 but not what type it was.
A quick search on Google came up with nothing, so has anyone come across this reg before and do you know what type it is?
Thanks.

Re: The FR24/PlanePlotter Thread
It's not N922XM, it's an F-15 using a miscoded Mode-S transponder.

Tracked on both flightradar, and ADBS pages, a Chilean C-130 flew into Waddington, earlier this afternoon.
Presumably collecting spares etc. for the recently acquired E-3's.

A regular occurrance having various American C-130s, Gulfstreams & Learjets at Cardiff Airport, but for a bit of variety there's currently a McGuire-based C-17 there.
Arrived yesterday ( Saturday ) morning at around 07:00hrs, no idea why or when it's departing.

Re: The FR24/PlanePlotter Thread
Pure speculation on my part....
Currently Southeastbound out of Moscow, flight RSD101 ( Tu-214, RA-64521 )
Last time I caught this was a few days ago, Putin paying a visit to Sochi.
Hmmm....funnily enough, the same day that various things blew up at the airport there!
Edited to add...
And whilst not showing on any of the tracking sites as usual, U-2 BLACK01 up out of Fairford, routing via DIGBI ( off the coast of Sunderland, if I remember rightly )

Not something I've seen on there before....
Early hours of this morning, ADS-B Exchange showing a pair of PLAAF Y-20s heading out of China & crossing Pakistan.
Now ( 06:15hrs ) back up again, showing as out of Jinnah Airport routing Westwards(ish) along the coast

Another new one for me...
ADS-B showing a Moroccan AF B-747 ( CN-MBH, callsign FRV1218 ) transiting up through France - inbound Paris?
First thought was "Didn't know they had one", but t'internet says it's one they use for Presidential / VIP visits.

Re: The FR24/PlanePlotter Thread
Slightly random but having had the white A330 out of Brize go over quite low 9000ft, its now circuiting over North West Wales below a Swedish registered Turbo Commander out of Hawarden with a Strikemaster in tow?

Re: The FR24/PlanePlotter Thread
No idea what it was for ( presumably a photo-shoot of the A330 & Strikemaster ) but I assume the SM would have been G-SOAF ( the one painted in Omani AF colours ) as I think that's still based up that way?
