First time posting here...(Pic heavy!)

Post by JJC »

Hi guys, I've dabbled in modelling for as long as I can remember, but only recently become more interested again. All these builds have been completed since January this year (I've been using them as a stress reliever between bits of uni work!) - they won't win any awards for accuracy or finish but I hope you like them all the same! All OOB, brush painted, assembled and built at the dining room table (the 'proper' Airfix way!)

All C&C welcome, let me know what you think!

Great stuff, would never know they were brust painted. The Luftwaffe camo must have taken some patience.

Thanks for the comments guys! Yes the Luftwaffe camos took some time, but now I've found a reasonable technique which seems to work for me, its not quite so daunting a prospect!

Good stuff... out of the bunch the P-40 is my favourite. Looking forward to seeing more kits from your collection.

Some nice builds there JJC. I did see some silvering on some decals which sometimes occurs. A nice gloss coast of failing that decal softener will allocate that issue.

Look forward to seeing some of your other builds soon.

Thanks for all the kind comments guys! Improved my confidence at posting in future

Yes they have suffered some silvering! I have applied Humbrol Decalfix, but to tell you the truth I have no idea what I'm doing with it!

If you take a pin and lightly prick the surface of the decal.
Next take the decal fix and just brush it over the surface. The decal fix should flood the decal behind and once dried will reduce or get rid of the silvering.
