For my first, hopefully of a few entries in this GB, an old Airfix Vanguard in BEA markings with Twosix decals. Sadly, after I bought this and the decals, Airfix reissued the kit - in BEA markings. Oh well. Anyway, here it is and I'll get a start very soon.

Wow! Looks like some serious "flash" on some of those parts!
nothing is confirmed at a show until its u/c hits the tarmac or it is running in for its display.....

A bit of progress
Copious amounts of tape to hold it together.
Virtually whole now and waiting on some paint - maybe this weekend.

Looking good, will be nice to see in the BEA scheme. Shame there are too few classic British airliners in 1/144.

Good choice of kit Derek and it looks like it is going together rather well. Nicely done.
Re: 1/144 Group Build - Airfix Vanguard
Now complete - not my best - I haven't built any airliners in while. I sprayed the white, Halfords appliance White, used Light Aircraft Grey for the underside and Gunze Sangyo Thunderbirds red for the wings (terrible to brush and probably too dark anyway. The kit needs a lot of fettling but the decals were very good. Anyway, here it is.

Thats really nice , nice to see a different scheme too. Nice to see some civil classics rather than from the normal modern military and WW2.

Very nice indeed.
