1/144 Group Build - Dornier Do-X - Finished

Post by DerekF »

Thought I'd give this go - mostly to get rid of the massive box.

12 Engines in 6 pairs and all slightly different. It's going to need careful planning.

The preliminaries.

Well it was sort of my idea. So far the participation has been disappointing for something that looked so promising.

An update at last.

Looking more like a boat than an aeroplane.

Now complete

Not the easiest - the engines were a pain to line up and the decals have silvered on the silver. Impressive aircraft though.

Lovely. What a beastie that was. I imagine the interior noise levels were interesting.

Not a model I would have tackled, but well done all the same. Has that "Wow" factor.
