Well I got to Duxford in the morning and the cloud at the time and afternoon forecast were both very overcast. Cambridge was reporting a 300ft-400ft cloud base until about mid day. Very disheartening and I couldn't help but think that I chose the wrong day. First display goes up in the cloud, then one patch of blue passes and disappears, then another, and another, and then it was pretty much clear skies! So an amazing day with much better than expected weather.
A shame that the displays were more distant than in 2015 and topsides were next to non-existent but a good day nonetheless. Amyway, onto my photos from the Sunday of the Duxford American Air Show!
I quite enjoy watching the pleasure fliers in the morning before the displays, so a couple of Rapide shots!

And now the after-show departures:

Seeing the Osprey depart was a great surprise. And after the Reds finished it was a quick sprint over from the Tank Bank to see it go! It was also very interesting to be able to see inside it earlier in the day.
