Adding Afterburner effects

Post by Harvo266 »

Hi,
I recently acquired the Iris F22 and I tried it out and thought it was absolutely amazing until I realized there's no afterburners. I have the same FX files as my friend who has it but he has afterburners. My question is how can I add afterburners to the texture so that it has it?
Thanks

Quickest and easiest method, take a memory stick around to his and get copies of his main FSX texture folder, and the entire Iris F-22 folder (found under simobjects/airplanes). Then copy all the contents into your corresponding folders, overwriting when asked. Any new files that you don't have will be added.

Make backups of your own folders first, just in case.

That's the joy of FSX, the file and folder structure has been roughly the same since the 90's, and is incredibly simple.

There's also a fix here that you may be able to use. http://forums.simviation.com/cgi-bin/ya ... 14365787/2
