The Edwardians were on the list but couldn't fly due to the wind. This is why we got a second Comet display, along with the Mew, at the end.

This is a very common occurrence. I think that over the last three years or so I've only seen them fly once (back on 2nd July) but it was well worth the wait!

I don't suppose anyone knows the significance of the chequered red/yellow flag flown on the ATC on Sunday?

"A chequered red / yellow flag on the mast denotes that aircraft can only move on the apron and within the manoevring area with the permission of ATC."
