Re: Shuttleworth 'Flying Festival'- 2nd June 2019
Departing Old Warden between 15:00-15:45 according to Shuttleworth on Facebook.
Re: Shuttleworth 'Flying Festival'- 2nd June 2019
Will buying a collection ticket get me access to the airfield to watch the C-47's land tomorrow? I've never been to Old Warden so don't know the layout.
Why so serious?

You don't even need to buy a ticket to get into the car park usually.
Re: Shuttleworth 'Flying Festival'- 2nd June 2019
You only need a ticket to visit the hangars
Turn up, park, watch the DC-3s arrive, have lunch in the excellent restaurant to put a few ££ back into The Collection (they run the catering themselves, so the profits flow straight back to the charity, unlike most museums who subcontract it)

Heard they’re landing this afternoon. Does anyone know any more?

Half a dozen DC-3s showing on FR24 currently airborne near Royston heading west.
Edit - now showing as heading back towards Duxford.

I was disappointed that we only got 7 Daks. The last show that Callaway was there he told us there were going to be at least 80 *Guaranteed*. Apparently some of them are newly-built ones that have been put back into production for the Antarctic Survey.

Thanks. Since found out it was the panel above the windscreen. Fortunately no harm done. Used to happen fairly regularly in service apparently.

Daks were stunning.
Kudos to Shuttleworth and the Americans for making this happen
Great set up to with the access in the paddock
Got to say bit of a lump in throat standing there watching them all running up in the paddock.
Great memory, Sorry I can't to DX too this week...
