Surprising.
I keep hearing rumours that the RAF might be seeing these soon, with local production or assembly as part of the deal? It was suggested that it was a likely feature in a post Brexit trade and defence deal, along with Embraer and Saab participation in Tempest

Well we do quite like buying transport aircraft that are the wrong size. And of course we can't be seen to buy new C-130Js as we're currently binning off C-130Js can we?!

Surely both of the others were black? Unless XG had a separate trial scheme to black?
See here for photo of G-BYXG in trial scheme. https://www.bing.com/images/search?view ... ajaxserp=0

My contact who was involved with the trial confirms that the colour listed on the paperwork is 'Steel Blue'.

I've seen that and I think its just the tint off the sky making it look bluer. Not denying what their official name for the colour is.

Both together in the hangar and they look the same to me.

usual copyright etc

Ahh sorry, perhaps a private FB group.

Historic Helicopters’ G-SEAK has been spotted today fully painted up as a Nighthawk/Marine One VH-3

Previously known as "bandana" - it's the black bit around the cockpit glazing on Airbus' NEO products.

Me too - I've been pleased to see Air Canada at Manchester recently because their livery does something similar.

And the A350s that look like this are currently my favourite airliner type! :sunglasses:

A380.

Years ago we watched a programme about building/test flying the A380 and, as the credits rolled, the wife said "you won't ever get me on one of those"....

A couple of years later, sat in the departure area waiting to board our flight to Singapore, outside the window sat a Singapore Airlines A380 (9V-SKG to be accurate). The look on her face when she realised she was going to get on 'one of those' was priceless!
Underneath my gruff exterior lies an even gruffer interior...

Two “additional” F-35 Squadrons for the U.K.? Presume a deployment/detachment rather than a permanent basing.

Interesting tactic from the Swedes. I really hope the Czechs don’t become *another* F-35 nation.
