Another exhibit for SWAM - this one is (in part) the old 2010 display Hawk.

Also, supposedly (subject to verification!) the new Irish C295 one of a pair that, I think, which will replace their blue C235s.

Edit, looks like it’s genuine:

Looks smart - they also say they plan to send it to RIAT next year, so I suppose that’s the first self-confirmed participant for 2023!

Translated, it states that the rumour is that Germany is buying Chinooks to replace its old CH-53s. A big shame, I had hopes they’d be a European operator of the King Stallion.

Sixty(!) Chinooks. A massive order from Germany.

Wonder if these two will lose their licences like Trevor Jacob. Supposedly in the DM article it says the FAA did not give permission for the stunt.

Still a pitiful order, but better than 48.

Half of 148. But there will be the same number of squadrons, as the Tories have learned that nobody will notice the creation of flight-sized squadrons, and appearances are everything to them, not capability. The current world situation has taught them nothing.

Maybe just semantics but the guy posting on twitter used the word target rather than order....

USAF goes for the E-7 (no surprise).

Laughing at their requirements for a rapid prototype taking five years to produce.

Looks like a retirement scheme tease (it’s intentionally blurry, not your WiFi)

Yeh, the effort is, as always, appreciated, but I’m not sure I’m there with it.

Yes please! If I'm going to Australia I don't want to have to get off, change aircraft, go through security again, possibly have a stop-over I don't want etc. One flight to actual destination is ideal.

Actually you'd be dreaming of stopping - getting off - having a walk. - Done the 17 hours Sydney to Dubai a few times and it's torture ! Wouldn't touch this with a barge pole!

Big fan of Hush Kit, and this is quite fun. An aircraft recognition guide.
