Aerosuperbatics Wingwalkers and the Calidus Gyro added to the line up, so much for the good start!

I have to say, the autogyro is always an interesting display - especially at a venue such as this.

Does anyone know when the final display lineup will be confirmed? I was hoping to see the P-51 Mustang again this year

Full lineup/times usually released 2 weeks prior to show.
I know HighG (based at Blackpool) are down to perform in their Strikemaster, Yak 50, Bulldog T.1 and hopefully their Chipmunk (new engine installed, due to fly in 2 weeks)

Practice displays have been taking place over the airport and at height over the Prom Fri-Sun by the locals.
The Yak 50 sounds lovely.

Be great if The Chinook could do a Role Demo and drop some sandbags into the gaps in the decking of North Pier, to make it safe. !!

Is it that bad, remember the train they had on it in the early 90's (or there about) didn't go far and only lasted a few years.

Speaking of the Piers, I'm trying to find the best spot for photography during the airshow.

When I was there last year it looked like they were charging for access to the North Pier? (could have been for something else, I didn't check).

Can anyone confirm if there is a charge to get onto the Piers on across the airshow weekend?

End of central pier is the best place but fills up early.

Official announcement Friday morning
With the strong South Westerlies wind forecast for Saturday. That’s going to whip up the tide and make the sea very rough. Not ideal conditions to be going out in a lifeboat ( if needed ). Sunday looks best of the 2 days. Still gusty winds forecast though.

Tomorrow's show has been cancelled:

We regret that due to a forecast of extreme weather conditions on Saturday afternoon, the first day of the Blackpool Air Show has been cancelled. The second day will go ahead on Sunday with as full a programme as possible, with a 1.30pm start on the Tower Festival Headland.
