Air Forces Monthly 1988 - 1998

Post by D90Man »

Hi All

I have various issues of the above, mostly complete years but some missing issues.

All in binders, so in pretty good condition.

Any interest? Looks like copies actually get sold on eBay for about £3.50 each including postage....

Open to offers for each year (rather not split) or for entire set.

can provide details of particular years if required.

Thanks

Leon

Hi again all

In trawling through my storage in my loft preparing for our imminent move, I have come across more old aviation magazines, including Flight, Air Pictorial and Flying Review from the 60's and 70's, plus later magazines such as Air Forces Monthly from the late 90's, along with issues of Flyer and Pilot from the late 90's

Anyone have any interest or suggest possible recipients?

Best

I think you're being very optimistic if you're expecting to sell them. Most places (museum shops, etc) won't even consider taking old magazines for free as donations nowadays.

Hi Mike

Yup, I realise that - it was only that I updated the post when I found some older mags that are much rarer (well I think they are anyway!) to see if anyone wanted them, even f.o.c.

I think they will, unfortunately, all be consigned to paper recycling

Lots of history in those magazines.

I've been trying to get rid of my complete set of AFM from its origins in 1988 to 2013. 6 years now, and only one bite. Prospective buyer baulked at the cost of a courier.
"Nice pics mate" comments only! No criticism please.

On a couple of occasions I've thought about purchasing collections of Air Forces monthly, to help fill gaps on my website dedicated to RAF Fairford http://www.raf-fairford.co.uk
Unfortunately I've been put off by the sellers price and postage, whilst I would end up having to get rid of them once I've finished.
But I fully appreciate sellers wanting to get a fair price, considering the latest copy in newsagents is £4.99
