Jet Fest - North Weald 27-29 September 2019
Jet Fest - North Weald 27-29 September 2019
I've not been able to find any real information about this event yet. I only became aware of it when I saw a board advertising it at RIAT. I know that Time Line are doing a nightshoot on the Friday but the price for that is steep.
Does anyone have any substantive information on the Saturday/Sunday? I enjoyed last year's event, and it's not really that long until the end of September!

Re: Jet Fest - North Weald 27-29 September 2019
L-29s "G-BYCT" & "G-DLFN" will be present, and flying together over the weekend.
Re: Jet Fest - North Weald 27-29 September 2019
Can anyone sum the flying and static displays as of today.
Re: Jet Fest - North Weald 27-29 September 2019
There are no flying displays as such, as it is not a CAA-authorised event. However some of the participants may conduct 'normal operations' (takeoffs and landings, and possibly run-and-breaks and missed approaches) during the course of the weekend.
Re: Jet Fest - North Weald 27-29 September 2019
Had a look at the Facebook page - so bearing in mind the above comments from Mike about it being a non-CAA authorised event Flying doesn't mean a display

Re: Jet Fest - North Weald 27-29 September 2019
I am seriously considering attending this event on the Saturday, having greatly enjoyed last year's edition.
However, I am suffering from some confusion as the available info (I do not "do" Facebook, Twitter etc..[don't have the time for them on top of everything else that takes my attention]) seems somewhat confusing.
Is there an entrance fee for the Saturday and if so how does one pay it? The info I have been able to access seems to show several different prices and is unclear as to which prices refer to what activity.
Can anyone clear this up for me?
Many thanks in advance for any useful information.

Was at North Weald a few years back for a photo-call, and I recall seeing a MiG-17 in one of the hangars. Is it still resident?
