F-AIR Colombia 2019

Post by Berlingo »

Hello UKAR,

Last July I spent two weeks in Colombia for its landscapes, cities, beaches, wildlife... and its Kfir, 727, A37 ans so on. So I went to F-air held from the 11th to the 14th on Aeropuerto Internacional José María Córdova, Rionegro. I'm quite happy with what I saw but the organisation was bad and the gaps between two displays was too long but at the end it was pleasant  .
note that the Fuerza Aérea Colombiana celebrate this year its 100th anniversary.

Very good selection of pictures, that CASA C295 seems to be a sleek piece of kit. Robin.

Now that's exotic! Is it safe to travel around Colombia on your own, or should you ideally go as part of a group? Maybe I've watched "Narcos" too much :P

Haha maybe. Well I spent two weeks alone without problems. I stayed in tourists areas, took only official taxi, take care of my stuff and so on. Efforts has been made to make the country safe and it works but of course you have to follow some rules.

Colombia is a beautiful, fascinating and, as long as you're not an idiot, safe place to visit on your own.

The pics are great, what a lovely aircraft the 727 is

Lovely selection of some very exotic machines. Great to see such good support from the USAF.
