Spotting Photography during the Lockdown

Post by UK Airshow Review »

Dear Forum Members,

As a nation we find ourselves in trying times the like of which the vast majority of us have never had to endure. As of last night, the Government put the UK into a lockdown lasting a minimum of three weeks where all but essential travel has been restricted.

UKAR in the grand scheme of things is an insignificant little speck of dust when it comes to the COVID-19 response but we still want to do our part.

It is fair to say that no-one can justify a journey to an airfield in order to take photos as essential travel.

Therefore, in order to not encourage these visits, we ask that our members do not post any images that they have taken in the UK during the lockdown from outside their own property during this period on our forum.

Please feel free to continue posting photos that were taken before the 24th March 2020 on our forums, we want to see them but, please be aware that any posted that were taken from that date onwards will be deleted until further notice.

Together we can get through this. Thank you for your help.

Yours

Dear Forum Members,

As you have probably seen in the media, the lockdown is now subject to various degrees of relaxation around the United Kingdom.

After reviewing the amendments to the legislation and discussing the matter internally we are pleased to confirm that:

From Monday 1st June 2020 we will once again be allowing images to be posted on our forums that have taken away from your home/work during the lockdown, provided that any images posted were not taken prior to 1st June 2020.

Of course please be sensible over what you do, be mindful of remaining lockdown rules in the area/social distancing and observe the instructions of the authorities.

Yours
