From 2014, not far from where I live - this had issues after departing the airfield at RAF Henlow (Bedfordshire), so landed in a field....

In 2009 I was at my local airfield, Warton.

At that time with the saudi Typhoon program. Once a week we got a herc in.

Today in 2008 I was at Warton.

An unexpected visitor

Grobs from nearby Southport always did circuits.

One of the on base Raptors at work, we saw them often, but rarely close enough to take pics.

The first production Saudi Typhoon. On it's third flight. I did catch the maiden flight 10 days previously in horrible light. So my first chance to get decent shots.

2009 Wings over Houston one of the best airshows I have attended. A brilliant mix of warbirds, modern metal, heritage and mixed formations, pyrotechnics and the Blue Angels, all in great sunshine.

1st November 2014. A faulty Chinook and another with a repair team outside the Classic Air Force compound at Newquay. The Crew gave every museum visitor guided tours inside and outside ZH899.

Back in 2006. I did my first overseas base visit. Wittmund. A tour that went wrong for me. But ultimately improved my photography.

First we visited the barracks 5 miles away. They expected to be nuked so the barracks were so far away.

Finally on base.

That's when the trouble happened. I had had my camera cleaned and serviced before going out. They did not do a good job as at this point my camera stopped working. A screw out of my mirror shutter mechanism came out and jammed the mirror. So no more photos for me and this was only day one.
