Lemoore Airshow 2019

Post by boff180 »

Evening guys,

After 8 long years, Lemoore once again opened its doors to the public. Over the weekend, the show put on a small but good flying display including what was possibly the first ever "display" by an F-35C. Such a shame hardly anything turned up from static that wasn't from on base though.

Looks like a challenge with the light for the displays. Really like the sunset pics and the F-15C.

Love these Andy, thanks for sharing  That F-15C looks the dog's doodahs doesn't it

I'm no expert ( ) but is that one F-18 refuelling (or pretending to) another one? Didn't know they could do that

Thanks.

Yeah its buddy to buddy refuelling, the Super Hornet took over the role from the S-3 Viking.

The USN however have recently ran a competition for and are now developing an aerial refuelling UAV.

Buddy buddy refueling isn't a new concept. The Royal Navy were doing it in the 1970's
