Now for Elvington, I was introduced to Elvington from my best mate Ian who introduced me to Andre and the team. At this time My other best mate Blue2 was part of the team. Ive been lucky enough to be able to night shoot of a couple of occasions at private shoots. I was a member of the volunteers for a few years, but as soon as I can I will be back.
Firstly the Lady herself, Lindy.

I cant honestly remember why i changed this one to sepia, but i kinda like it. Amazing the one in the middle now trains RAF pilots. Andre who is on the steps is the owner of this fine aircraft. the run the day after was a 20th anniversary of her landing at Elvington. Also it was a tribute to Andre's father who sadly died early that year.

This one was on the same nightshoot as above in November 2013. the nimrod was not lit at all. this was a long exposure shot.

Buccaneer S2. This aircraft was originally going to be an S1 but was modified to be a test aircraft for the S2 development. She is now in her original FAA colours and looks just amazing. All thanks to Andre Tempest and team for an amazing job.

Andy I missed this thread somehow! It just brings back just how many opportunities we have been lucky enough to get over the years. Hopefully when this passes we will get out and about again. Your also tempting me to dig some of my shots out.

If you want a Lindy picture war, we know who's gonna win You got me thinking the other day and I have been doing a bit of digging on how many shows and shoots I've done ( a lot! ). Also where did it start commercially? My first commercial shoot was our shoot at Elvington in March 2009. But I know Newark and Brunty's Lightning folk were before that. They were the first two, I think followed by Northolt then Elvington. But which was first I am not sure?

I think the first Northolt one was in 2009 and I think the first one i did was in April 2009 at Newark, Howard maybe able to confirm this?

All great shots. Love the back-lit Victor pics, and that sunset Canberra is rather nice too.
