Hello,
Below are a series of photographs from the Indra Dhanush Exercise held in 2007, along with a few visitor aircraft. The aircraft were based at RAF Waddington for the duration of the exercise as the runway length was better suited to the Su-30MKI requirements. This was the first aviation outing for me using the Canon 5D with 70-200 and 100-400 lens.

Re: Indra Dhanush 2007
These are some of the best shots that I've ever seen of the exercise Chris, I was there on a couple of days and some of them are very similar to mine that I took from a small step-ladder next to the A15 opposite the WAVE.
What river do you mean in the comments at the end of your post, and I didn't think that they flew at weekends? Also where was the C-130 photo in shot 25 taken from?

Thanks Big Eric!
No need to worry about the weekend show or river. Copied that by mistake from my MAKS19 upload - now removed
The C-130 shot was taken whilst stood on a step ladder A15 end, opposite the WAVE. Pretty much where you would have been positioned I'm guessing.
Cheers,
Chris

Thanks Chris, that makes a lot more sense now. I think I must have been right next to you in some of them!
Pardon me for not using any smileys, but the new ones are awful.

Re: Indra Dhanush 2007
I can remember them departing living just down the road at the time, specifically as I was advised they were going early.
First wave and IL-78 were taxiing out at about 06.30 from memory.

What an exercise that was, and brilliantly photographed !
I am probably the only one, especially with these particular visitors, thinking..... F.3s, how I MISS them.
