After some rest and recuperation, I've been pestered to add some more of Phil's pictures to stop you all going stir crazy at home.
So, here we go with a selection of pics from a not-so-sunny Keflavik taken on 15 August 1973. Not his usual blue sky pictures, but probably fitting for the mood of many of the country these days!
67-14715 - Sikorsky HH-3A Jolly Green Giant - Det 14 67th ARRS - NAS Keflavik - 15 August 1973
65-0975 - Lockheed HC-130H Hercules - 67 ARRS - NAS Keflavik - 15 August 1973
156516/LQ-2 - Lockheed P-3C Orion - VP56 - NAS Keflavik - 15 August 1973
58-0575 - Lockheed T-33A Shooting Star - 57FIS - NAS Keflavik - 15 August 1973
53-0554 - Lockheed EC-121T Warning Star - 552 Airborne Warning and Control Wing - NAS Keflavik - 15 August 1973 (a real pain to get this one looking anything like decent, but noteworthy as its the one most people have probably seen, being the EC-121 preserved at Pima Air and Space Museum)
52-3425 - Lockheed EC-121T Warning Star - 552 Airborne Warning and Control Wing - NAS Keflavik - 15 August 1973
Lockheed EC-121T Warning Star - 552 Airborne Warning and Control Wing - NAS Keflavik - 15 August 1973
158227 'Roadrunner' - Lockheed RP-3D - VXN-8 'Project Magnet' - NAS Keflavik - 15 August 1973
More to follow when actual work permits...

A great selection - thank you. I do like the Warning Stars and also the Herc in that colour scheme brings back memories.

It was a real struggle to get decent photos that day using good old 25 ASA Kodachrome II
Cheers Phil

Really enjoy looking at USAF items from the 70's and 80's.

Love the H-3, challenging stuff to scan with KR25 on a dull day.

Hi Alan,
These were a "challenge" I think it's safe to say! Committed to purchasing the Vuescan software in the end and it works a treat it has to be said (Although it doesn't work with Flextight scanners!) - just need to re-scan everything of Phil's I've done previously and bring them up to speed now!!
