Garden Reflection Pool - Lockdown Project

Post by Peter345 »

Since we've been locked down indoors at the weekends recently I thought it would be a good time to build myself a reflection pool in the garden. These are the results so far...

Love these. Can you show us the pool you built too?

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Here's the pool. It's pretty crude, just knocked up from some CLS and other off-cuts I had in the garage, with black plastic to line it. Needs a clean out now. Oh and I think the grass might need cutting again!
The camera's on a tripod in the conservatory, and most of the photos here were taken with a remote.

Here's the latest from the reflection pool - a robin and a blue tit enjoying the pool together...

What a good idea and very effective, did you sit outside waiting or set the camera up and use a trigger release to get them ?
I know you think you understood what I said, but I'm not sure you realise that what I said is not what I meant.

Thanks. Mostly they were taken remotely, with the camera on a tripod in the conservatory. Lately I've been trying being more hands on with the camera to get some perched photos on strategically placed branches...

:joy:
Erithaca rubikscuba and Cyanistes squareruleus if I'm not mistaken. Unusual capture to get both together, migrants from Denmark perhaps?

To me they both look quite scared of the water. In fact I think they're bricking it.
