Revell /Matchbox Buccaneer XX901

Post by ianf »

With my mega build thread not complete, you may wonder why I started another thread? Well the answer is simple, with only the Lindy build left I got bogged down in what to put in and leave out of the build. So to help me move the creative jam on I decided it was time to build another of the Museum's aircraft I had helped on. I had a Matchbox kit repackaged for Revell it is a old kit (1975) the shape is good but it is devoid of detail. I did have all the pylons etc from my build of XN974. So had a start. I scratch built all the cockpit as the kit supplied 2 pilots and 2 "chairs".

All the aerials were scratch built as the kits were not fit for purpose, I also added the Flare dispenser just aft of the arrestor hook.
It is a pretty simple kit and was really only a way to display the markings. It also means I have no more Buccs in my stash, so have an excuse to buy the new airfix ones!
Also as you will see later today, it unlocked my build jam on Lindy!

Very nice
You can't polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter.
