An-225 and Qatar Emiri C-17 Prestwick 02/08/20

Post by Maccyd »

Hugely understimated the interest in the An-225's pit stop at Prestwick today,I've never seen the place so stacked. The mound was probably not the best to get shots due to the volume of people, but a great sight nonetheless, heres a wee selection.

Love the overhead departure shot, thanks for posting these.
As I said on one of the other threads, we could see it clearly from 27 miles away as it passed over the middle of the UK!

Thanks for the kind comments, it was a gravity defying sight to behold! Talking to the airport ploice at Glasgow last week they estimated 8,000 people attended Prestwick! Certainly felt like it trying to negotiate the traffic! All good fun!.
