Airwolfhound at Shuttleworth Drive-In Airshow Number 2

Post by Airwolfhound »

Having read some decent reviews about the first drive-in airshow, I decided to book tickets for the 2nd one. Very glad that I did.

It was a great airshow, and very well organised considering the very difficult limitations in place.

Amy and I arrived around 9.20am and were in one of the holding fields until we were allowed in at 11am. All very civilised.

We followed the line of cars through to Zone A and was blown away when we were directed right to the front of the crowd line. Very happy with that spot :-)

People seemed to stick to the guidance, although a car behind mine decided to move so that they were parked to the right of their 5 metre square box instead of the left where originally directed to do so. Apparently they wanted to sit next to the people who were parked alongside them, same family I guess ? Anyway, I guess rules are made to be broken............

Some people walked along the flightline, although being told that they should get back to their allocated spot. One person was exceptionally rude and carried on hanging around an aircraft despite being told many times to move away. Really don't get that attitude, these rules are in place for a reason.

Anyway, despite these little niggles, it was a tremendous show, and thoroughly enjoyable.

Here are a number of shots that I took with the new Canon 90D and the Sigma 60-600mm Sports lens. Getting used to it now lol !
