Spitfire / Warbird Flying 21-23 August?

Post by jl151080 »

Hi all,

Bit of a long shot, considering the predicted windy weather over the next couple of days, but does anyone know anywhere where there maybe some Spitfire / Warbird flying anytime from 21 August to 23 August, aside from Duxford?

I went to the showcase day at Duxford this week and at least saw the great display from P51 Miss Helen, but since I've got a long weekend this week I'm hoping to see some more action!

Goodwood's two-seater(s?) have been up quite a lot today - I saw SM520 over Pagham Harbour this evening but another birder said he'd had seven sightings through the day. Mind you, the weather was near perfect.

Haven't been to Goodwood for a while so I'm overdue a visit!

Headcorn? - although no idea if there are any T9 flights during this period...
Underneath my gruff exterior lies an even gruffer interior...

I like Headcorn but it's around a 3 hour drive so I wouldn't want to go on the off chance. Definitely going to the September show there though!
