Inside the Spitfire Factory

Post by Aquarious »

More 4, Monday 28th September 21;00

A new series titled 'Inside the Spitfire Factory' is starting on 'More 4' next Monday. It doesn't provide too much in terms of detail but I believe its about the restoration of Spitfire T.9 TE308 which has been painted to represent A58-606 in RAAF colours.

Thanks for the heads-up! Immediately after at 2200 is Guy Martin's Spitfire for those that haven't seen it. Well worth a watch!

Yes, nicely put together I thought and not too much of this 'false jeopardy' which is always a good thing in my book. Looking forward to the rest.

The Aladdin's cave that is Peter Monk's (and Guy Black's) store room!

The carefully wrapped boxes of bits from the 40's, still in usable condition, is a testament to the practices back then of packing stores for shipping and long term storage by the various MUs...
Underneath my gruff exterior lies an even gruffer interior...

What a great program. I loved watching it from Australia.
