Nice. The Hurricane startup shot is great, but what a surprise to see that Tornado. I had no idea it had survived and was living at White Waltham. That had gone under my radar totally.

Same here, that Tornado is a massive surprise.
Which 108/Pingioun is that?
Great pics.

Worth pointing out that it isn't the real deal! It's actually ZA355 (Tornado GR1) which was moved to White Waltham last year and was previously in standard 'Tornado Grey'. I believe the repaint into Gulf War markings was a lockdown project for the current owners at Shoot Aviation... and it does look marvelous! The real MiG-Eater (ZA447) was upgraded to GR4 standard and is now resident at RAF Cosford as an engineering instructional airframe.Wrexham Mackem wrote: ↑Tue 22 Sep 2020, 2:07 pmBut what a surprise to see that Tornado. Really? They've made a good job of it haven't they? It does actually look like a time-distressed treatment of the MiG-Eater scheme, as though it has been sat in a hangar for years. Here's Mig Eater at RAF Cosford.

Here's a link to Demobbed website, has a photo of ZA355 in TAA, 15 Sqn markings, before the lockdown.
