The clever thing about Bicester is bringing in all of the support services and skills that exist around the industry onto one site (nothing like Duxford), this must be great for all involved. Plus they also focus on education and apprenticeships. Looking at theior website, they are clearly on an upward spiral (in contrast to Duxford IMHO)
With the exception of an engine shop, Airframe Assemblies & CD's Vintage Fabrics, what's missing? Do the likes of ARCo have a machine shop at Dx?

Leeds East/Church Fenton I would prefer logistically, 1700m runway, more grass for parking, M1 close etc.

Nick Grey publicly said that they were looking for a location as close to Cambridge as possible. The frozen Northern wastelands out beyond Peterborough don't tick that box.

Heheh! true. York would make a more than adequate substitute for Cambridge though I reckon.

But Sywell it is, I hope to be there, and wish the show every success. (and please don't ever clash with RIAT again. Oh no, I've gone too far into the realms of optimism :-) )

An A-10 at Sywell is quite a juicy prospect!

As the aircraft is TBD, more likely an F-15 Heritage Flight with the Friedkin's P-51's. Lot of expense to bring an A-10 or two/ground crew/equipment all the way across the pond just for two British airshows.

Unless they are already planning to have some deployed to Europe in the same timeframe.

As others have said, the A-10 team themselves have listed Sywell and Fairford on their schedule for next year

A-10 Demo Team published its schedule overnight Brian, with Legends on it. No doubt, its the A-10.

Also, correct me if I’m wrong, but it couldn’t be an F-15 anyway as there’s no F-15 demo anymore, and therefore no demo pilot authorised to fly in the formation?

A10 tops it for me. Was expecting Raptor/Lightning and P51 heritage flight.
Never had the pleasure of an A10 demo.
Please let this event happen :star_struck:
