As we are probably seeing the back of the last of the settled weather periods of several days at a time, I thought I'd sort my images from some of my drone flights over the last few months.
Most are based around my local area in North Essex and are a mix of images taken whilst doing commercial drone work and a few pleasure flights.
There are more detailed descriptions of the images attached to the original Flickr entry but thought some of them are just nice to look at !

Very interesting. Do you have a Walton at high-tide, as a comparison?
Re: Eye in the sky......
Norman,
Looking through my Lightroom sets, I don't have a similar shot with any tide in the channels.
The best I can offer is a shot from almost the reverse angle taken a while ago that shows the tide at around about half height I reckon.

It's a deficiency I'll have to rectify when I get the chance.

Thanks for posting that. Very interesting to see the difference. I imagine a few boats have come a cropper misjudging the depth.

Norman, I don't know if you do Facebook but ion you do, go along to www.facebook.com/WaltonRNLI
We had a shout Friday to a homebuilt 70 ft catamaran that had lost its anchor in the winds. All the pictures you'll see are of the same river (looking very different) the number of workboats we needed to help the lifeboat turn the casualty through the wind and onto a pontoon safely without hitting anyone else.
Looks lovely in the sunshine but a altogether different place in a gale
