48 Hour Photo Comp: Airbus Helicopters H135 & H145

Post by PeterR »

It's been a while since there was a rotary wing theme, so I'm asking you to post your 3 best images of an Airbus Helicopters H135 or H145.
Both civilian & military operators warmly welcomed, rarer the better! If it was built as a Eurocopter EC135/EC145/EC635 that's totally fine, but images of MBB/Kawasaki BK 117 will be excluded!

Here's a Swiss Air Force example, performing a sunrise patrol over Payerne in 2014, to kick things off...

Riat at the role demo for the Airbus helicopters, found it interesting to be honest, maybe because it was something different. Devon Air ambulance.

The 3 most interesting that come to mind for me, the first two taken down the local at Redhill and the third a type that hasn't come up yet from Kanoya, Japan.

One of those types I think is boring, and then realise that I don't have many of it!

Damn! I couldn't think of anything.

I noticed it is G-BZRS too, which is also bee-related in way. Because of the sound they are traditionally associated with making.

Whilst they're not the most exotic of aircraft types, very pleasing to see a nice variety of operators and colours represented in the thread. Great to see a UH-72 Lakota showcased, and a Puerto Rico National Guard machine no less! Col. Chibani deserves an honorable mention for his lovely images of the colourful Sécurité Civile machines, which I would love to get some shots of in the coming years. But my top three are as follows...

#3 - TJJ's head on shot shot of the Police '145, landlocked against the grass, is very eye catching.
#2 - Dean's shot of the German Navy machine, with crewman on the skids, has a nice operational feel to it.
#1 - Sam's lovely Japanese is the winner for me. Beautiful light and photogenic background, plus a nice rare subject!

Over to Sam to choose the next topic, congratulations! :sunglasses:

Thanks Peter, a nice selection of a very versatile airframe posted by all. The Japanese variant is by far the rarest in my collection but I'm still trying to nail an Irish Air Corps example!

The next 48 hour comps up, Maritime Patrol Aircraft, lets see what you've got: viewtopic.php?f=55&t=86414
