Right, here goes.
Many thanks for all replies/entries, it never ceases to amaze me of the quality of photographer and depth of archive material posted on this site. Honourable acknowledgements to all, particularly Nigel, Paul, Tony and Andy for their nostalgic material, Shaun, Peter, Nick and the Colonel for high quality images, and Chris for his imaginative photos.

Third place is Marks F104 cleaning up.
Second place is Normans trio of F104s, still an incredibly futuristic looking aircraft.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the winner is Dereks SR71 departing Fairford in 1985
