2021 Event cancellations
2021 Event cancellations
While not airshow related, the Isle of Man TT has been cancelled in 2021. It runs from 29 May to 12 June. The same issues that led to this decision are directly related to next years airshow season. Is this an indication of things to come?
Re: 2021 Event cancellations
You're probably right, but the Isle of Man is in a very different position to the rest of the country as they have got almost total eradication of Covid. They will more than likely open up later than the rest of the country.

Absolutely. The Isle of Man decision is about keeping the island covid free. Completely different scenario to mainland events.

Vaccine and rapid testing should be enough to fix things for next summer

Hope you're all right.

Not likely.FlyingMachinesTV wrote: ↑Mon 30 Nov 2020, 7:24 pmVaccine and rapid testing should be enough to fix things for next summer
Fix things in time for next winter more likely, not for many summer 2021 events, as many event organisers would have had to commit already by now to upfront costs and planning, and they will not be risking that in the current situation.
Some will happen but many won't.

I quite agree. Personally I think next year will be much like this one. At least for the first half anyway.GeeRam wrote: ↑Mon 30 Nov 2020, 8:47 pmNot likely.FlyingMachinesTV wrote: ↑Mon 30 Nov 2020, 7:24 pmVaccine and rapid testing should be enough to fix things for next summer
