Great to see so many entries to this competition. I find it remarkable to think in 2024 we will celebrate the type's 50th anniversary, and by then some European operators will have retired their veteran Viper fleets while others will be receiving brand new airframes! Lots of excellent images making judging hard, thanks for everyone who contributed as it was enjoyable to view so many special schemes from over the years.

Special mentions to poison 143 for the lovely shot of the Orange Lion, DeanW's shot of the lovely Italian special scheme and Mictheslik's low level aggressor. But the winner for me was the really clean shot of the Makos machine in clear blue skies, and no shadows on the tail, from LN Strike Eagle! Over to Dan for the next round...

This is the second win for this shot, as I also picked it up for my "Ze little détail" contest.

Slightly different shot, but both of the same aircraft taken on the same day.

Thanks Peter. I'll have a think and put a new theme up shortly.

And why not.

1997? Mildenhall definitely looks a better bet from the other side.
