It doesn’t appear to have made it to the forums here. The BBC have reported that Chuck Yeager has sadly died

His Twitter feed was always a good read - stereotypical 'Grandpa on social media for the first time' reading.

Many great achievements in this career but civility didn't seem to be a strong suit with him.

Whether it was the pilots, the beer or the quality of the “broads” in the local hostelries, he was never complimentary of Britain.
