I would guess it will be the F-16, and maybe the HF, just because last show the plan didn't work as planned, like we had with the F-22 in the past (I try to mention a try again), and of course the F-16 is already available in Europe from either Spangdahlem or Aviano.

Some accounts “like” many things simply on the basis of engagement. I guess we’ll see. The flip side is that they cannot “dislike” a post, and they haven’t said “yes” when they had the opportunity to do so.
Let’s not immediately turn the thread into jumping on every little morsel or crumb of something and try to keep it based on real, tangible and meaningful evidence. I’m all for rumour, but let’s base it on something worthwhile.

I'll take an F-15 from LN to be honest. Ill be happy with whatever turns up assuming we have a show. The fact that the US intend on coming is a real positive sign.
Have the Swedish Historic flight been confirmed yet?

The same was said about the flanker and the Spanish harriers too. Now the debates can startbobby 1211 wrote: ↑Tue 08 Dec 2020, 7:41 pmDuring the virtual riat the Polsih MIG-29 demo team said they were due to display at the show this year, hopefully they will attend in 2021.

I have a firm belief that riat 2021 will be going ahead
Re: RIAT 2021 Participation and Discussion Thread
Ketchup for me please Tommy...
Not the US one at any rate, other F-35s are available though. Did the RAF ever mention working up a demo for the future?
Didn't the HF display in the UK using only UK based assets one year? i.e. a Lakenheath F-15 and a P-51 that was based here - or have I made that up?aviodromefriend wrote: ↑Tue 08 Dec 2020, 4:55 pmI would guess it will be the F-16, and maybe the HF, just because last show the plan didn't work as planned, like we had with the F-22 in the past (I try to mention a try again), and of course the F-16 is already available in Europe from either Spangdahlem or Aviano.

At the bottom of post on Twitter for the raptor schedule it does say international dates yet to be released read what you want in to that, but for me it looks promising for the raptor demo team.aviodromefriend wrote: ↑Tue 08 Dec 2020, 4:55 pmI would guess it will be the F-16, and maybe the HF, just because last show the plan didn't work as planned, like we had with the F-22 in the past (I try to mention a try again), and of course the F-16 is already available in Europe from either Spangdahlem or Aviano.

Hope the raptor or viper then
Re: RIAT 2021 Participation and Discussion Thread
Hmmm...you're an optimist for sure if that makes it 'look promising for the Raptor demo team'. It doesn't rule it out, but it's a looooong way from ruling it in too.edhunter wrote: ↑Tue 08 Dec 2020, 8:29 pmAt the bottom of post on Twitter for the raptor schedule it does say international dates yet to be released read what you want in to that, but for me it looks promising for the raptor demo team.aviodromefriend wrote: ↑Tue 08 Dec 2020, 4:55 pmI would guess it will be the F-16, and maybe the HF, just because last show the plan didn't work as planned, like we had with the F-22 in the past (I try to mention a try again), and of course the F-16 is already available in Europe from either Spangdahlem or Aviano.

Do we have the a-10 schedule yet?

I like being an optimist it makes things more exciting.CJS wrote: ↑Tue 08 Dec 2020, 8:34 pmHmmm...you're an optimist for sure if that makes it 'look promising for the Raptor demo team'. Yes. It's on the website under the consolodated schedule. I don't think they released an individual one.

Re: RIAT 2021 Participation and Discussion Thread
The ACC demo teams borrow local jets whenever possible, so the old F-15 teams always used Lakenheath aircraft, the A-10 used the Spang based aircraft and (as last year) the F-16 team use Spang jets too.
Also, the only HF cleared pilots are the ACC Demo Pilots so if the F-35 team say it isn't them coming, it isn't an F-35 USAF Heritage Flight.

Re: RIAT 2021 Participation and Discussion Thread
The Raptor Demo team pilot responded to a comment I made just before, confirming they won’t be present at RIAT 2021 but are hopeful for 2022

Re: RIAT 2021 Participation and Discussion Thread
Of course the team themselves didn’t say this but the pilot has said this. Take this with what you will but it now seems unlikely
Re: RIAT 2021 Participation and Discussion Thread
I would imagine the pilot probably considers him/herself to be somewhat integral to 'the team' thoughStreffo123 wrote: ↑Wed 09 Dec 2020, 12:27 pmOf course the team themselves didn’t say this but the pilot has said this. Take this with what you will but it now seems unlikely
