its interesting that the coveted july date is not being used. i wonder if there is a small chance legends might come back seeing as TFC and Sywell didn't get on last year

Because that's generally considered to be "Battle of Britain Week"?
nothing is confirmed at a show until its u/c hits the tarmac or it is running in for its display.....

Interesting to see a return of the fully-fledged October airshow.

It's no different from this year, which was a full airshow, just a change of nomenclature from a flying day to an airshow, so they can charge Members for tickets too

But important to note there’s no ‘full’ airshow in May and it’s a Flying Day instead so free for members

Hopefully it will consist of more than the Yak-50, CAP-10 and Harvard that made up one of this year’s Flying Days.

Pity the September B of B show clashes with Abingdon tho’I know it’s 2 days but still a nuisance.

And 'The Americans' Flying Day has been moved from Friday to Saturday. Isn't Lakenheath usually closed on a Saturday?.

Yes, summer airshow sorry.

Also noticed there is no shuttle bus this year. Mentioned in both FAQ section and the Getting here section of the Summer airshow website.
At present, there will be no shuttle buses at Duxford Air Shows this year.

Wow, so with the IWM seemingly attempting to persuade airshow visitors to use public transport and the park & ride, they're not running any shuttle buses to enable that. Disgraceful really.

Hopefully they will have. They had no shuttle bus for last July's show and the decission for the September BoB shuttle bus only came a few weeks before the show.

On that Saturday of last July I had to walk to and from Whittlesford parkway train station, it was a tiring trek for me. Managed to get a taxi from Whittlesford to Duxford on the Sunday but ended up having to walk back to the train station again as Taxi's booked out after show. As great as Duxford is, it's a pain to get to without the shuttlebus.

Seems to be a lot of aerobatic formation flying on the provisional list for the Summer Airshow. Not sure about autogyros either. Will need to add a lot more variety before I commit to buying a ticket.
