Delighted to be proven wrong, but I suspect the rumours of another four are BS.

I don't think this is the first time and I wonder if the USAF prepares eight aircraft to ensure four can go? They aren't in the first flush of youth....

The rumour of 8 is because people have put lots of conjecture together to create a narrative they want to believe, and got to 8 aircraft.

Four deployed to Fairford, and four to Nellis, both from Minot (there's been 4 to Guam from Barksdale too by the way), two similar NOTAMs for aerial refuelling on the US east coast, and people reading everything they see from certain Twitter accounts.

I recall a similar rumour mill back in October with the B-1s too.

One was heading up over the North Sea a couple of hours ago but no longer showing on ADS-B. I did see a USAF C-17 (through binocs) overhead near Gatwick about an hour ago, seem to be quite a lot about ATM
