Uniden Bearcat 780XLT 500 Channel Scanner Receiver

The resistor for the LCD went a while back, and an electrical engineer fitted a potentiometer in the unit for me.

This occasionally slips and the contrast on the LCD goes to a value where you can only read it from certain angles. You can easily adjust this though by removing the top of the scanner (4 small screws) and a long thin screwdriver can be used to turn the potentiometer till the contrast is correct.

I have included pics to show how it looks currently, and then I had adjusted it so you can see how the LCD sometimes goes.

Unit works perfectly other than that, and is an amazing receiver.

LCD doesn't appear to have any scratches. Unit itself has a few cosmetic marks/scratches.

The Volume/Squelch buttons (which are on top of each other) stick together slightly, so you need to use one had to move one while holding the other in place, or they both spin.

Includes power supply and telescopic antenna.

£110 posted in the UK (can also be collected from Redruth area).

Happy to answer any questions.
