Just spotted this - brilliant news for the Museum - their extension will contain the Swift, Trislander and....Walrus...
Which one could that be? Surely not the one with Arco?

The RAFM Walrus has been in store for some time
Re: Walrus and extension for Solent Sky
Which given the RAFM disposal policy makes sense; the one at Duxford is currently in H2, on it's wheels but without wings, and looks to be painted in an arctic scheme. Chatting to somebody (genuinely) in the know it's destined for HMS Belfast, however unlikely that may be.

I heard from someone in the know that the owner was going to get it flying once work on his other aircraft was finished.

If that's the Beaufighter it might be ready to see the new century in. However, I'd certainly like to see the Walrus in the air.Pen Pusher wrote: ↑Wed 09 Mar 2022, 5:19 pmI heard from someone in the know that the owner was going to get it flying once work on his other aircraft was finished.

I assume they really mean the Australian Supermarine Seagull that was at Hendon. The museum could do with an extension, they really lack space there. Would be a travesty if G-RNLI was mounted on HMS Belfast unless it could be completely covered in?
