Looking good and had guessed the Typhoons would do the 70 but still have no idea what the rumoured 13 Hawks are going to do.

Slightly confused, looking at the notam map for the flypast, are they going round the coastline as I thought normally be out to sea?? Be great if it was coastline as I'm up Norfolk next weekend

The E2R in 2012 consisted of 27 Hawks. I'm not sure there's enough aircraft this year. I can't rule anything out though. Thursday isn't far away now. I'm surprised the 'secret' is holding.

Does anyone have a link or info on the possible formations and how they will split after passing over the palace.
Other years its been really easy to find out stuff but there seems to be a distint lack of such info this time.
Any info greatly appreciated. Thank for your time.

These guys are great, and this is a good page.

It’s weird that there’s no running order or graphic from the RAF yet, but perhaps that’s to come this week.

When I used to live near Northolt, I used to either go and stand up on top of the middle of the large circular mounds (Northala viewpoint) next to the A40 just east of the old Target (Maccy D's) roundabout.....or stand on the pedestrian overbridge that goes over the A40, just to the west of the Target roundabout. I used to be very local though, so was never driving to either spot. If you are driving to that area, not sure where best place would be...?
Maybe the car park of the old golf range, on the hill of the A4180 about 700m south of the Polish War Memorial junction.

This will be the first time I'll not be living pretty much under the Trooping flypast route......will feel strange after half a century of seeing it close up.

Where have you seen that?

Looks like the BBMF will be flying over RAF Hendon Museum after the main flypast according to an email from the museum.

Thanks for that useful info. I may take a trip up if the weather looks promising.

In the paper (can’t remember which one) it shows the first A330 flanked by a Typhoon and F-35, the next A330 is flanked by 4 F-35’s!

Pretty much standard routing when BBMF take part due to formation speed differentials.

BBMF usually make a tight turn to the north after overflying Buck House, which takes them over Shepherds Bush, the Scrubs, Willesden, over the Welsh Harp and then over RAFM.
The Helo's and maybe Texans etc will likely go straight on and head out towards Twickers etc and south of Heathrow airspace leaving the faster jet stuff to curve around to the north-west and follow the route of the A40 and out over RAF Northolt.

Based on Rehearsals/rumours and separate observations, this is my best guess at a running order:

15 Helicopters:
Expected to include:
Lynx Wildcat (Army Air Corp. & RN)
Merlin & Apache? (were not in Rehearsals)
3x Puma & 3x Chinook

Battle of Britain Memorial Flight

Phenom & 4x Texan trainers
3x C-130 Hercules
A400M Atlas & C-17 Globemaster III
P8 Poseidon & RC135 Rivet Joint (or 2x P8’s)
A330 Voyager (1)*
A330 Voyager (2)*
Hawk T2 (formation of 12+)
Typhoon (x15) in ‘70’ formation
Red Arrows

Looks like the Reds will be heading out over Heathrow ? https://www.military-airshows.co.uk/pre ... MoWPfruZSo

But what about other stuff, will any fly over Northolt as usual or is it likely most will fly over Heathrow as RAF100 did ? When where can we get the info ? I expect the slower stuff will turn right and head North after overflying the palace, they usually do.

A formation I thought was strange is just after the A330 and 4 F35’s there are 4 Hawk T2’s in a diamond, unless they’re part of that formation?

I haven’t seen any mention of the F-35s. The practice had just two Hawks then two Typhoons. Rumour was around a dozen Hawks were going to Brize Norton.

Are you about to see the formation (albeit maybe distant) from the Norfolk coast?? I'm going to be up near Yarmouth and just wondering
