Oshkosh 2022

Post by Blackbird »

Anyone in the group (apart from me) going?

I was going in 2020, then 2021 and now it looks like it's really going to happen 😁

Yes I am going, the fourth time for me. Accommodation and car booked-the line up looks stellar.

It'll be my second trip, rolled forward from 2020. The only downside is that I'll be driving in from Milwaukee each time - long story but domestic harmony at the root of it!!

I'll be there with Gordon (Skyflash) for the week. Heard yesterday that the F-100 has cancelled. :sob:

I’ve just tried an email. I couldn’t find the message from Friday either. Not sure what happened! Operator error!

I’m at Oshkosh right now and would be keen to briefly meet with you all. For me it will be the most efficient way to put names to faces.
Please put me on your circulation list. TIA.
Cheers,

Yes, I got your email and have just replied, now I'm back at the dorms.

I think Gordon and I are heading to the threshold of runway 36 tomorrow as we think there will still be a lot of arrivals. You can use the blue tram stops to get to the end of the runway.

I didn’t receive any response re the meetup but managed to briefly meet Andy S at the runway 27 flight line.
George C’s comments are spot-on. The range of aircraft (and weather) have been the best of my four visits.
