Channel 5 new series

Rob Bell is exploring 'British planes that won the war' on Channel 5 starting this Friday (10th at 9pm) First one is the Sopwith Camel and second episode is the Spitfire.
I quite like him as a presenter so will give it a go.

Presenter OK, representation of history pretty naff.

Very good presentation, knew nothing about the history until I watched it. Looking forward to the rest of the series. Rob Bell comes across much better than the usual tired BBC (or ex) lot. His Walking Britain's Lost Railways (although they've dropped the Walking in later series maybe because it incited too much trespass) was very good.

Thought it was a good watch - not really an aircraft I knew too much about though so be interesting to see what the others are like.

Only criticism is that it's titled 'British planes that won the war' so presumably the episode on the Harrier will cover the Falklands yet they have a Spanish Harrier on the image before and after ad breaks (I'm sure there's a technical term for that image!).

Damn, got that wrong! Although it did start with B ? Something like 'a male domestic bovine animal which has been castrated and is raised for beef' perhaps?
