m4 delays

there are very long delays on the m4 westbound between junction 14 and 15 for swindon due to a lorry fire expect delays of over an hour

ive updated my status its westbound so delays if you travelling from reading etc

In previous years I had always got off at the Swindon junction but this time on my way from Bath it said to get off at junction 17 for RIAT so assumed it was a new route, or have I just not been paying attention before lol

Coming from the west 17 is quickest although not shortest because you never hit traffic until you're across the dual carriageway south of cirencester. If you're early enough it makes no difference I don't expect. I actually use the A46 then A433 through Tetbury and past the back of Kemble up to Cirencester, which is the same as using 18 and cuts off a big corner. I think the signs say use 15 to keep traffic on the main roads.
