A few more from RIAT '22 (30 to be exact)

Post by Roger_Over »

It was great to be back, arrived at Kempsford on Friday, in the Viewing Village Saturday, general admission on Sunday and P&V East on Monday, the first time I've been able to do four days!

My photography budget is limited to bridge cameras but just traded up from Lumix FZ330 to a second hand Sony RX10 and it is a big improvement. Anyway this is a flavour of my weekend, I've tried to pick some shots that are different to the excellent photos already posted but can't resist a bit more Scooter, Swedish heavy metal and E4-B. Happy to prune it if mods think it's too pic heavy...

Thanks to everyone at DBH and all the RIAT volunteers for their efforts, especially in hot weather on Monday!

Love that Lansen underside…unusual view of a rare type.

Some great pics there 👍👍 The RX10 is a great choice and can produce some nice results. It's my 'go to' camera most of the time now when i can't be bothered to lug around the DSLR.

Thanks for the comments!

Yes the Lansen was a big highlight for me, as was the Clank and of course the Skyhawk, great to see all three flying.

I got photography out of my system on Saturday mostly so enjoyed just watching the displays on Sunday, having fun with the new camera though. Much heavier than the old Lumix, I need to work on my panning technique!

Great set from a great weekend!

I can't believe that you got such amazing results from a bridge camera!

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Alpha Delta, very kind.

When I postponed my aspiration to go mirrorless a lot of research pointed to the Sony as having really good AF and a great Zeiss lens and it lives up to the reviews.

The best Monday departures shots I’ve seen. Were you in the FRIAT stand or East P&V

Thank you Frank. I was in the East P&V until 1300 hrs when the German Tornados were departing.

I really wanted to see the Sabre, Polaris and Pegasus leave but the heat had got a bit too much and I reluctantly abandoned my post!
