A good review right up until the last paragraph which seems to fall back in to UKAR's entitlement of old.
I didn't realise that building works in the background meant cameras stopped working, so to say "the construction at show-centre which significantly diminished photography options from the FRIAT grandstand" is quite nonsensical. What you really mean is that your photos have a bit of airfield-related clutter in the background and you want to whinge about it.
Same can be said for the comment about rotary-wing traffic, something that RIAT ATC had already answered before your review was published so comes across a bit sour.
I'm not sure I agree that "a good proportion of our readers will no doubt be passholders of that scheme", I for one am not a FRIAT member and I'm sure there are many hundreds of members and readers here that aren't either. I certainly didn't leave the show with the "bitter feeling that DBH left the core enthusiast base of the show."
