Well, that’s not Italian, and the RIAT organization already said they tried.

Obviously yes the SF-260. What did you think I meant?

But seriously my comment here was really a compliment to the Italian show organisers. Yes you can come to RIAT and see most of the participants, but the appearance of a flying F-104 at a European airshow in these times really is an outstanding achievement, and one I really really hope happens in the UK again one day!

They could come to the UK. If there’s money to pay for the transport and all other cost involved.
They are owned by a commercial company, so in the end it’s all about the dollars. And Italy was willing to pay and provide transport.
If any other European airshow has the financial means to do this? I doubt it.

Great review of the show..does anyone know the fate of the Starfighter , did it finally make it back to the US after going tech again?

Has there been any news of future plans for the G91, who will fly it and where it will be based.

Since it has the same owner/operator as the pair of Macchi 326s, I would assume it will be operated on the same basis and appear at the occasional Italian event, assuming they proceed to getting it properly certified for flight (it was still operating on a test permit at Pratica di Mare I understand)
