How far I heard its static..
Friday will be his last flight, static on both days.
Yep.
Sadly, the Portuguese Hercules has been re-tasked and won't be joining the static. Their F-16s are still on.

Just received an email as FOAF, but timings for car park opening does not seem correct. As doors opens at 9am on the website, but the reserved car park opens at 9:30am?

Do the "Airshow Insiders" get a schedule emailed to them each morning or am I confusing it with another airshow (WOH) that uses the "Insiders" line?

A polish C130 arrived today at KB, support for the Orlik team/F16s or maybe for the static lineup for this weekend?

Todays arrivals:

1504 - C130H PAF
Team Orlik - PAF
Dornier 228 - Private

1504 should return somewhere this week as well to support the detachment of 2 Polish F16s coming over

Edit: 1504 still present at Brogel, is it maybe for static with the Portugese cancle Chrisse?

They are not to fly till Sunday due to flying at Airlegend on saturday, would be a bit weird, or they depart from Brogel on saturday maybe

Also a GAF helicopter just entered Belgium and seems inbound as GAF920 (According to the callsign list GAF920 is a CH53)

AFAIK that is it. And only once the temperature goes over 27 degrees. They remain inaccessible before that.

That's going to be one hell of a sight when the temperature hits 27 in the morning then.

So water is limited not only by number of outlets but also by the temperature gauge.

Website states we can only bring 'A' bottle of water and/or snack. The temps every day this week have been touching 30 from 11am onwards so people are going to get through their water a lot quicker than you'd imagine. Queues for anything are going to be carnage, something entirely avoidable...

Just to confirm, are they still not allowing food or drinks at the spotters day depsite the heat?

I’ve been getting mixed messages with their “stay hydrated” promos on social media.

Also plan to bring a chair and 3 step ladder, hope security don’t mind!

Water/food should be fine, but just not too much

Day one over and done with.

A hot but very enjoyable day, I've never seen the Spotters Day so busy.

Only negatives today were getting in and fluids. The entrance was a chaotic joke, it's a spotters day of course people will have bags - so why only have 2 lanes for bags and an open area for non bags? From gate opening it took an hour to get in, be warned tomorrow. It was simply poor planning.

Then fluids, on bag search I was told one bottle of water only. There are refill points but I only found one and that is set back from the crowd line between the runway and the recruitment display area.

If you can't refill - small bottles of fluid start at 3 euros!!! A bottle that is worth 50p at most.

Oh and bad news- confirmed by a conversation with the A109 display pilot - no flares allowed :-(

I'm assuming its the forest fire risk, they've had a lot of rain recently but you couldn't tell, the tracks are dust.

Thanks for your report Andy!

- An hour of waiting in line? I can only imagine how long it's going to take me to get in tomorrow then. First the unavoidable traffic jam, then the bus lines, then probably much more than an hour of waiting tomorrow... That's just rediculous! Why do they never learn? It's always the same at Sanicole Airshow aswell... with 30+ degrees i can't see anyone turning up without a bag with bottles of water.

You have to purchase a ticket card from a stand or if pre purchased collect it near the entrance.

You use your card or cash to pre-load this with credit.

Toilets appeared cash only but not sure

Thanks that’s useful info. I’ll leave the bag at the hotel and fill my pockets!

Did the car parks open on time or early? 8.30am seems quite late.
2025 shows: Cosford, RIAT, Sanicole with a couple of Duxford, Shuttleworth and seaside shows thrown into the mix.
