Classic Fighters

Post by Andyph »

Omaka - New Zealand 7-9th April (Easter)

https://www.classicfighters.co.nz/what-youll-see

Looks a bit of a pale shadow of previous events so far.
They had two shows cancelled with Covid and maybe the lack of funds explains the lack of warbirds - or perhaps there will be a big rush of announcements nearer the time!

Actually it looks like NZ is in decline with warbirds - Anson, Catalina, Corsair and a Kittyhawk all for sale.

Great if you like Harvards, Yaks or Wacos though

The Harvard's and Yaks are at every NZ show Mike,

It used to be my favorite show - a bit of a hidden gem.

Days of things like 7 Fokker triplanes in formation seem a long time ago.

Fw-190 (replica, I think) and Mk XIV Spitfire added to line-up. Shaping up to be quite a good line-up.
Cheers,
